My Favorite Nail Polish Colors

I was planning to write about my nail polish collection after a few more months when I already have one (I mean, these are still hardly a collection) but I figured that I'm just going to share with you first the colors that I'm currently obsessed with and then I'll just write a different post about the ones that I'll be purchasing and loving next time. I love pampering myself after a long day and this is one of the things that I like to do. Shout out to everyone out there who also love doing their nails! My nail
polishes are from Caronia. I personally think that they don't last very long. They chip very fast but I think it's okay because I love changing my nail polish after only a few days anyway. It's my stress reliever right now. It's nice to just chill and paint my nails. Plus, They're very affordable. They're less than a dollar each.

The first color is called the Touch of Tan. These two pictures don't do it justice but it's actually a lovely in person. It's perfect for people who don't like wearing bold colors.

The next one is in the color Glissade. This is not really my favorite but my husband said that he likes this on me more than the other ones that I have. I think that this color will be nice to use for a Christmas themed nail art when the said holiday comes. I can already imagine how it's going to look so I'm definitely keeping this nail polish color.

This one is called Simply Red. I'm going to say that this is my favorite. It's perfect for those days when you look in the mirror and you just suddenly feel good about yourself. It's for those days when you're feeling sexy and confident. Is it just me or do you also have moments like this? I hope you do because, guys and girls, we just have to love ourselves. I'm wearing two coats in this picture which explains why it looks like a deep and dark red. One coat is actually better. I just didn't wait long enough for it to dry so it got ruined and because I'm lazy, instead of redoing it all, I just applied a second coat.

This is called Baby Pink. This picture was taken on the day that I cut my finger while cooking. I used my son's band aids with Garfield on it. He likes to play with them and pretend that he has a cut too which is bad because his skin gets irritated of the band aid's adhesive so I decided that they're mine now. I'm going to use them for when I cut myself while cooking because it does happen a lot. I'm just clumsy like that.

The last one is actually a colorless nail polish. I use it as a top coat so that the main nail polish color that I have on can last a little bit longer.

Thanks for reading!

What's in my bag?

Since I've been going to a lot of job interviews these past few days, I thought that it will be great to share with you the things that I always bring with me other than my phone. It's very hot where I live and it's important to always look fresh especially since I'm always presenting myself to other people. I hope you will something in this post that will help you as well.

If you are someone like me who like to eat snacks, I suggest that you bring a sanitizer or an alcohol. (It's not fun to have cheese powder on your fingers after eating chips.) In my case, I always bring a bottle of alcohol just because this is what we have and I'm too busy and too frugal to buy a sanitizer. This alcohol is actually for my son but my husband and I forgot to bring it with us the last time we went to visit our son. It's actually good that we did because at least I have something to bring with me whenever I get out of the house. There are times when I'm eating chips and I'm not able to wash my hands afterwards just because I'm riding on a bus so it's always nice to have something to clean your hands with.

I always bring a mirror with me just so I can check if my makeup still looks okay or if I have to brush my hair.

I always bring a handkerchief with me so I can wipe my face if I'm sweating.

I always remember to bring my favorite brush. You can bring a comb instead if you don't have a lot of space in your bag.

I always bring my wallet not only because I have my money in here but also because this is where I keep my valid IDs. If something happens to me, people won't have a hard time identifying my body. It's not like I want it to happen. It's just that if ever it would happen, I would want my family to have closure and see my face for one last time and also because I want my body to be cremated and for the ashes to spread out onto the sea.

I always bring blotting sheets just because I do have a combo skin. My skin is acne prone. It also have dry patches but is also very oily at the same time. I may not not be able to do something about the acne and dry patches right away but I can be able to wipe away the oil on my face.

I always bring this palette just so I can retouch the blush-on on my cheeks. This is from Avon. I forgot what it's called. My mother gave it to me for my wedding. It used to be attached to another palette of lip sticks and glosses and a mirror but I broke it. I just threw away its other half just because I don't like the color of its lip products anyway. Actually, I should have thrown all of it because I have already had this for two years and the whole set is probably expired now. You probably think that I'm disgusting but I just really can't afford to buy a new all-in-one palette yet because I'm planning to finally get a pair of glasses and a set of contact lenses at the end of this month and I'm going to need money for it (Yey for new glasses and contact lenses!). I'll just write a "Drugstore makeup haul" post once I've already thrown all my expired makeup and have already bought new ones.

Don't forget to bring a bottle of water whenever you leave your house. You have to stay hydrated. I used to have a tumbler but I left it on a bus the last week. This is just the bottle of water that I bought after my interview yesterday.

I always bring my retractable brush for my foundation and my angled brush for my blush on. I find that I always have to retouch my face after only a couple of hours because I always wear light makeup on my face. I can't really go heavy on makeup products because my skin will breakout. I like using oil blotting sheets first before reapplying anything.

I always bring my house key, a few elastic bands to tie my hair with and my compressed powder foundation from elf.

I always bring a fan just for me to avoid sweating while I'm still on my way to wherever it is that I'm going.

I always bring my lipsticks and my lip balm for retouching. I can't say where these two red lipsticks are from because their labels have faded already and I can't remember the names of both brands. They're both almost empty. I'm planning to buy a lip liner from Elf. They have the shade that I have always seen on other people's lips and have always wanted. I'll include it on my "Drugstore makeup haul" post once I've bought it. The lip balm is from Maybelline and you've porbably seen it already along with my brushes on My Lazy Day No Makeup Look Routine.

I have my padlock and keys that I used for my locker during our Safety Of Life At Sea training and a few pieces of my son's Lego collection just because I have no better place to put them.

This is the bag that I use just because it's the only bag that I have that can fit some of the things that I need for my job interview. My sister-in-law gave this to me and I really like it. It's says on its tag that it's from Nine West. I think I should get a bigger bag though where I can fit all my documents because I'm always holding my resume in my hand and it's kind of stressing me. I don't really like carrying too much stuff. It would be better If they can all just be in one bag. I'll probably get one but not soon. I'll update you once I do. Maybe I'll include it in a "What I wore today" post because I've always wanted to write that. Thanks for reading. :)

What's in my shower?

Have you ever wondered about what other people use and do when they shower? I do. I think it's weird yet very interesting at the same time. It's one of the things that I think about when I'm extremely bored. Whenever I  see someone with great skin, I always wonder what soap or lotion he or she is using. Just in case you also have nothing else to do, here are the products that I use whenever I shower.

The first thing that I do whenever I shower is to wash my hair. I'm currently using an anti-dandruff shampoo from Head & Shoulders just because my husband doesn't really like the "girly" shampoos that I used to get from Sunsilk. We're actually planning to buy two different brands of shampoo next time. We're just using this one up. I'm thinking of trying the Hana Shampoo next.

The conditioner that I use is from Cream Silk. I really love this conditioner. I've already tried a lot of brands but this is still the best for me. I'm using the Standout Straight one but all of their conditioners are good. I usually brush my teeth while leaving this on my hair for two minutes. I only rinse it after I finish gargling with mouthwash.

The toothpaste that I use is from Colgate. We use the regular one just because it's what we currently have. We still have two more tubes of this regular Colgate. My in-laws gave them to us. What I really like using is the Colgate Optic White.

The mouthwash that I use is from Listerine. I used to buy the Colgate Plax Mouthwash before but after using this, I got hooked and I am now loyal to Listerine. I just feel like this cleans my whole mouth better. It burns at first but I eventually got used to it

The exfoiliating body wash that I use is from St. Ives. It's the one with the purifying sea salts. I've just recently tried this and I'm loving it.

I use my body scrub with this brown and white loofah made of plastic mesh.

To avoid bacne, I use this brush with a long handle to scrub my back.

I have also just recently tried this. I bought this facial cleanser, my body scrub and feminine wash at the same time. It's the gentle cleanser from Cetaphil. My skin is very dry and this is the only cleanser that doesn't make it worse,

My feminine wash is from PhCare. This is the most refreshing intimate wash that I've ever tried. I will definitely keep buying it.

I also like shaving my legs and arms in the shower at least twice a week. My underarm hair doesn't really grow thick unlike other girls and I only really wear my sleeveless shirts at home so I only shave my underarms at least once or twice a month.

After I'm finally done showering, I like brushing my hair while it is still wet. This is a rectangular paddle brush from Broadway Gems. I know that it's not good to to brush while it's still wet but I've found that it's actually harder to detangle my hair after it has already been air dried. Wet or dry, it's even worse when I use wide toothed combs. Using this brush is the best choice for me. It's like a wet brush. This makes styling my hair so easy. If you would be buying a brush of your own, make sure buy a high quality one. The others that I've tried hurt my scalp after a few days of usage.

After pinning my bangs back and out my face, I like applying petroleum jelly on the dry patches of my face. I'm planning to buy a moisturizer for my face but I can't wait to write this post so I'll just write a different post about my skincare routine next time. The lotion that I'm using is from Nivea. This is the one with vitamin E and grape seed oil. It's especially for people with dry to very dry skin. It's perfect for my skin. It doesn't have SPF though so I suggest that you only use this when the weather's very cold and you don't really have a chance to get exposed to the sun. It's been raining lately where I live so the weather's a little bit colder. I'll probably use a different lotion once the sun starts showing up again.

100 Questions No One Asks Tag

I always see this tag and now that I'm blogging again, I thought that it would be fun to do so here it is. If you also have a blog and you've already done this or if you plan to do this, please tell me in the comments section down below so I can also check them out. Enjoy reading!

1:Do you sleep with your closet doors open or closed?
I use cabinets and clothing racks but if my future house will have a walk-in closet then I will always close it. I might imagine a ghost if I'll leave it open at night. Haha!
2:Do you take the shampoos and conditioner bottles from hotel?
I did take some once but only because my companion did it first. I don't think I'll do it again in the future. I didn't even use the shampoo and lotion that I took.
3:Do you sleep with your sheets tucked in or out?
Always tucked in. When I was a kid, I was scared that a ghost might grab my feet while I'm sleeping. I used to think that tucking my sheets in would protect me. Now, I'm just used to it.
4:Have you ever stolen a street sign before?
No! Hahaha! It might be fun to do but it won't be right.
5:Do you like to use post-it notes?
I cannot be organized without my post-it notes.
6:Do you cut out coupons but then never use them?
YES! Hahaha! I think it's funny. I love cutting out coupons but I've never really used one.
7:Would you rather be attacked by a big bear or a swarm of a bees?
I'm not allergic to bees so definitely by a big bear. I just want a quick death.
8:Do you have freckles?
No but I do find girls with freckles beautiful.
9:Do you always smile for pictures?
Yes. I used to smile with my teeth showing. I thought that it made me look happy. Now, I've been smiling with simply my lips. I think it makes me look peaceful and contented.
10:What is your biggest pet peeve?
I used to have a pet peeve but then I realized that even I am not perfect.
11:Do you ever count your steps when you walk?
I used to do it when I was a kid. It's fun when you do it with your siblings or friends. You can try avoiding the cracks on the floor too and see who can do it longer.
12:Have you ever been camping?
Camping is an annual curricular activity where I attended most of my high school years. It was my most favorite part of high school. I loved it better than going to prom. I was in a different school during my freshman year but I was a group leader during camping when I was a sophomore, a flag bearer when I was a junior and a scribe when I was a senior.
13:How long has it been since you have been camping?
Sadly, my last camping was during my senior year in high school but I do hope to do it again in the future with my friends, my husband and my son.

Yes but I do sing while dancing when there's no music playing.
15:Do you chew your pens and pencils?

Double(or Full)
18:What is your Song of the week?
Hideaway by Daya. I find it so catchy.

20:Do you still watch cartoons?
Yes, I do. I love watching cartoons with my son and anime with my husband.
21:Whats your least favorite movie?
Gone girl. I felt sad and depressed after watching it. The characters were crazy. Love is something that should make you feel happy. If you're not then you're probably mixing it with anger and jealousy.
22:Where would you bury hidden treasure if you had some?
I wouldn't bury it because people may find it. I would probably sell the treasure if it's gold then I would just deposit it into my bank account

I always drink water but I also like milkshakes and iced tea from time to time.
24:What do you dip a chicken nugget in?
Gravy, ketchup or oyster sauce mixed with brown sugar.

27:Last person you kissed/kissed you?
I kissed my son goodbye yesterday. I almost cried but sucked it in. He hates it when I'm crying.
28:Were you ever a boy/girl scout?
No. I wanted to be one but we couldn't afford it when I was still in a public elementary school. Private schools have their own camping so their students don't really have to wear green uniforms and join regional jamborees. That's why I really made sure that I had fun camping during my high school years.
29:Would you ever strip or pose nude in a magazine?
Probably not. I wouldn't want my son to see me nude in a magazine.

All kinds. I ain't picky as long as I can eat it. Hahaha!

Sunny side up eggs and hotdogs with at least two cups of rice.
36:What is your usual bedtime?
I'm usually asleep on or after 10pm. If I'm with my son, I can fall asleep at 9pm. It's very tiring to play with a hyperactive toddler,
37:Are you lazy?
Yes, most of the time, I am but I also can work like crazy if I'm inspired.
38:When you were a kid, what did you dress up as for Halloween?

A Dog.
40:How many languages can you speak?

Yes.
59:Take a vitamin daily?
Yes but I do forget to take them sometimes.

Yes!
72:Ever won a spelling bee?
No. I'm not really bad or good at spelling. I guess I'm just okay.

10 fun and crazy things I used to do when I was a kid.

1) My sister and I loved playing dress-up when we were kids. I used to take pictures of her whenever I was able to get a hold of my mom's phone. I think I've always been interested in photography. I just never had anything to practice with. Having a Photo Studio is one of my small dream businesses. There a lot of apps to edit photos with now but it is still nice nice to have your picture taken by a professional, right?

2) I used to climb narrow hallways as if I was Spiderman. I would place each foot and hand on each side of the hallway. I would then push myself upwards.I hope that you can imagine it. It would have been better if I have a picture of myself doing it but I don't and we currently don't have narrow hallways in the house that I'm staying at right now. I also don't want to steal someone else's picture online. Sorry.

3) My siblings and I used to play a crazy version of hide and seek. To play, there should be an "it" person, a "look out" person (someone who is usually tired from playing) and a bunch of "hiders". We used to hide on the full wall cabinet that we had back in our old house. The "it" person would have a ruler that he can stick at the cracks (the sides of the doors) of the cabinet but he could only stick them to a number of doors that is equivalent to the number of players. If there were only three "hiders" then he could only stick the ruler into three cabinet doors. This was why we had a "look out" to check if the "it" was following the game's mechanics. The ruler was supposed to help the "it" person check if there was a person inside the cabinet. After he had consumed all his tries, he would then try to guess where the "hiders" were. His first correct answer would determine who the next "it" is. The number of guesses was also equivalent to the number of "hiders". If he wasn't able to get any correct answer then the "hiders" would have another chance in changing their positions and the "it" would count again. The number of counts for hiding would depend on how many "hiders" there were.

4) We used to build a fort in our living room with the use of all our dining chairs, lots of pillows and a few bedsheets. This was where my siblings and I prefer to sleep at night. We didn't really sleep in our bedroom for more than half of our childhood years.

5) Now, the next one is not something you should try. My siblings and I used to make small fires on our backyard. We used to look for opened tin cans around the house and use them as a small casserole to boil leaves in. Sometimes, we also use tin cans to melt candles in. Once the candle wax starts flaming because of the intense heat of the fire, we would then pour water on the can FROM A DISTANCE. This was very dangerous and it left small burn scars on my arms. We never really deemed it as dangerous when we were kids, we just thought that it was fun. We used to do it when our parents were not around or were busy doing chores. I mean it wasn't really easy to always monitor what five kids could do. We didn't do it often though. This is one reason why my husband and I are not planning to have another child of our own in the future. It is just so we can easily always monitor what our only offspring is doing.

6) We used to sneak into parked buses and try to steal used bus tickets. It wasn't really stealing because the tickets were already considered trash. We used the tickets as pretend money whenever we were playing buy and sell. Our products were different kinds of leaves that we got from the trees on our backyard.

7) We used to fish for tadpoles on a small lake near our house. It was a very dirty lake but we didn't really know any better because we were kids. Can you just imagine how wild kids were back in the days?

8) We often spent our days strolling around our neighbourhood and discovering new plants, flowers and fruits.

9) Here's another one that you shouldn't also try. We used to pretend that we were superheroes and we would often punch and kick other kids just because they were our "pretend" super villains. We didn't really throw hard punches and kicks but the other kids didn't know that we were playing "pretend" so they always complained about us to their parents and then we'd get in trouble. Nobody had the guts to say something about it to my dad though. I think they were scared of him. He didn't really have a great image with our neighbours. I do regret playing that game now. If I could go back to the past, I would probably scold myself for all the crazy things that I did.

10) We used to buy packs of Dutch Treat Chocolates. If you haven't heard of it, it comes with a paper mask for every pack. We wore the paper masks whenever we're pretending to be superheroes.

There you go! There are a lot more crazy things that I can say but I'm not going to include them any more because I don't really plan on having an image of a wild person just yet. I'll probably write about them eventually if this post gets a lot views. If it doesn't then it only means that people are just not interested. Haha! What were the crazy things that you used to do when you were still a kid? Feel free to share it on the comment section down below. Thanks for reading!

Here's an edit of blurry pictures of me with my husband and son just because my kid is also a bit wild just like me. Can you notice the white lines on the side of my son's face? He used my white eye liner pencil to draw them.
